With the Professional / Developer license you can license the source code and use it / extend it as you see fit within your organization. Running the program on a LAN greatly speeds up the application and makes adding new vocabulary and readings possible.

The Professional / Developer License includes all source code for ultimate customization and unlimited use inside your organization.

Note: Customers may modify the source code as you see fit, but may NOT use this source code to create applications for sale to other organizations. This license only permits using the source code for the organization who purchases it.

All versions of English 4 IT include the following components:

Interactive Vocabulary Builder

New vocabulary is taught with the Vocabulary Builder section, which includes common terms broken down into categories including: Hardware, Software, Programming, Databases, Business, Security, Networking, Office, Tech Support, The Internet, Slang, Design, & Customer Service.

Each term in the Vocabulary Builder section includes a custom written definition, picture, example sentence, and pronunciation by a native speaker.

The vocabulary builder is highly customizable and students or administrators can turn content categories on or off depending on their needs.

Reading Comprehension Section

With the Reading Comprehension section, students can improve their knowledge about various areas of IT while reinforcing vocabulary. All vocabulary terms are linked to the Vocabulary Builder section so students can learn instantly look up difficult vocabulary.

Practice Exercises

The practice exercises in English 4 IT test recently gained knowledge. Questions are randomly shuffled, both the order of questions and the answers for a minimum of repetition. System Requirements

There are two parts to the Professional / Developer version of English 4 IT, a single server and numerous clients.

Server: The server application runs on a web server running PHP 5.16 or higher and MySQL 4.1 or higher. You can run this server on almost any OS currently available, but this has only been tested on Windows and Linux. Email for more details.

Clients: The client application will run on Linux, Mac, or Windows with any modern browser such as IE 7, Firefox, or Safari. A sound card with speakers or headphones is optional but highly reccommended.

Includes all the source files including PHP Code, Sound files, graphics files, etc on a CD-ROM. This is licensed to be used inside a single institution and includes free upgrades during the terms of the contract.
